Oxford Rehabilitation Center FAQs

Welcome to Oxford Rehabilitation Center! Before your first appointment with one of our medical professionals (which include professional chiropractors and acupuncturists), you may have some questions.

We’re here to put your mind at ease. These are some of the most common questions we receive from patients.

Who Are Your Doctors and How Much Medical Training Do They Have?

We’re led by Dr. Marc C. Cohen, D.C., our licensed chiropractor and Dr. Wendy Wang, DPT, L.Ac, our licensed acupuncturist.

At Oxford Rehabilitation Center, our doctors spend years undergoing medical training. For instance, our Doctor of Chiropractic or D.C. will have gone through the D.C. degree program. Before they can practice on patients, they must first get high marks on a National Board Examination. Only then can they get their chiropractic license.

Which Services Can I Receive Here?

We gladly offer many pain-relieving services and treatments to our patients. These include:

  • Aquatic therapy
  • Acupuncture
  • Physical therapy
  • Chiropractic therapy
  • Non-surgical pain management
  • Auto accident injury treatment

Our doctors treat shoulder pain, neck pain, back pain, sciatica, post-surgical pain, plantar fasciitis, fibromyalgia, and carpal tunnel.

At Oxford Rehabilitation Center, we also have our own fitness center for our physical therapy patients.

If I’m Pregnant, Can I Still Get Therapy Here?

Absolutely! Many pregnant women have visited us at Oxford Rehabilitation Center to get pain relief through all stages of pregnancy.

How Do I Schedule an Appointment?

If you’re interested in scheduling an appointment with us, you can call us at 215-725-2000, send us an email, or visit us at Oxford Rehabilitation Center on 6735 Harbison Avenue in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, 19149.

Is Physical Therapy Paid for Under My Insurance?

In many cases, yes. That said, it’s best to contact your health insurance provider ahead of your appointment to be sure. If you are covered, make sure you get coverage for each following appointment.

At Oxford Rehabilitation Center, we accept Motor Vehicle Insurance, Workers’ Compensation, Personal Choice, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Aetna US Healthcare, and Medicare.

What Do I Need During My First Appointment?

To make the process as short and simple as possible, you’ll need a claim number from your motor vehicle accident, a physician reference (as applicable), attorney information (as applicable), identification, and your health insurance card.

Where Do I Find My Claim Number?

If you’re not sure where to find your claim number, contact your car insurance provider. They should have provided this number to you once you talked with them after the accident occurred. Without the claim number, we can’t always provide health insurance coverage.

How Long Is an Average Appointment?

The average appointment is about 30 minutes. That said, expect a longer appointment the first time you come in, as you’re going to have to meet with the doctor, explain your symptoms, and write out paperwork. This appointment can take up to an hour.
